It’s just a trick of the light
Class 1992. Born in Rome, based in Milan and London.
Struck by the power of images from a very young age, Andrea started his career working as an assistant photographer when he was only 16. He then moved to London to complete his university studies at the London College of Communication, working at the same time in Italy as a photographer specialized in music and reportage.
Avid world traveler and culture lover, he already filmed in 4 continents and completed a documentary in Ethiopia, commissioned by ActionAid.
After being selected by Oliviero Toscani’s La Sterpaia as one of the most interesting young talents, he won the Prix Italia with “A day at EXPO”, a short film he directed. Last year his short film “These things take time” was awarded as the best food short film at the Locarno Film Festival and his short film “Desèrt” won the special mention at the Lake Como Film Festival.
Currently based in Milan, Andrea is attending the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia and working as a freelance director and DP, developing his specific taste for advertising and documentary filmmaking, but always keeping an eye open for narrative.
